The Tucson Celtic Festival & Scottish Highland Games will be held November 1st and 2nd, with a Friday night ceilidh and dinner held Friday night, October 31st. More details will be provided as they become available.
Martin Hayes and Dennis Cahill Concert
Martin Hayes and Dennis Cahill will be performing at 8 pm on Saturday, September 27 at the Berger Performing Arts Center, 1200 W. Speedway Blvd. Irish fiddle virtuoso Martin Hayes and American guitarist Dennis Cahill possess a rare musical kinship, ranking them among the most memorable partnerships of our era. Together they have garnered international renown for taking traditional music to the very edge of the genre, holding listeners spellbound with their slow-building, fiery performances. The duo opens the doors of traditional Irish music and releases its pure, distilled beauty while incorporating sensibilities from the worlds of classical, blues and jazz. Reserved seating is $20 ($18 for seniors 60 or over). Tickets purchased at the door are $3 more.
The Old Pueblo Feis
Irish Stepdancers of Tucson, in association with Tir Conaill Academy of Irish Dance, will be holding Tucson’s fall Irish stepdance competition, The Old Pueblo Feis, September 14th at the Tucson Convention Center, 260 South Church Avenue.
Seven Pipers Show at the Gaslight Theatre
Seven Pipers Scottish Society pipe band will present its show “Grace Notes” at the Gaslight Theatre, 7010 E. Broadway Blvd. at 7 p.m. on September 8th. The show features pipes, drums, and Highland dancers in concert. Tickets are $15
