New Irish Session Web Site

Tucson has a new web site dedicated to providing information on Tucson’s Irish music sessions, particulalry the seisiun at The Auld Dubliner. After the first of the year, we will no longer list the weekly sessions on our Coming Events page, but we will include a link to the session web site. There will not be seisiuns at the Auld Dubliner on Christmas Eve or New Year’s Eve. Through December 17th, please bring a non-perishable food donation to the seisiuns—they will be given to the Community Food Bank. Note that the Auld Dubliner seisiuns will now be held in the back room of the pub. The spacious back bar has plenty of open area for the seisiun and lots of tables/snugs for listeners and diners. There should be a better acoustic environment in the back as well as less crowding.

The new web site will include a great deal of information on the seisiuns, including the names of the hosts each week and music (downloadable audio and sheet music) for starter tunes for musicians who want to do some advance practice. The site also includes much more information, including information on local Irish bands, events, resources, contacts for Irish music and dance teachers, and an instrument exchange.
